Our Process

Our services encompass the entire project lifecycle, starting from pre-purchase advice all the way through to architectural design, interiors, engaging with builders, and administering contracts. Our process is methodical and structured for ease of understanding.

  • From early pre-purchase advice through to site feasibility studies, we undertake detailed investigations of the site, context, environmental conditions, constraints and opportunities to ensure you have a clear understanding of what’s possible.

  • First, we seek to understand how you and your family live, your requirements and preferences over a series of in-person sessions, establishing a vision and direction for the project.

    Then, utilising traditional techniques of pen, trace paper and physical models through to digital 3D systems, we iteratively explore creative and pragmatic options that respond to your brief in an elevated and considered manner. The process is collaborative, personal and a joy to facilitate.

  • It takes a team to design a home. From thermal assessment to engineering, compliance and cost management, we advise on and coordinate relevant consultants ensuring the project ‘works’. We further develop the concept, finesse building footprint, finalise the interior and exterior material selections, thresholds and details to a complete design ready for documentation and tender. If required, we will oversee the town planning application process.

  • The better the documentation, the better the built outcome. We take our documentation seriously and are of the view the more detail, the better. With a quality set of documents in hand we oversee the builder procurement, via either competitive or negotiated tender. We support the client with advice and seek to resolve a programme and budget acceptable to all parties.

  • Our role shifts through the construction period from design to project oversight, acting as the client’s site liaison and assisting the builder where required. We attend the site regularly and administer the project contract right through to handover and keys.
